…so is my love among the young women.
So…even though she didn’t want to…and it was tiring and soreness-inducing and no fun…
Whitney volunteered and accomplished essentially single-handedly laying our new back lawn. It’s beautiful. It’s perfectly lain. And it will be a wonderful place for our girls to safely play.
Whit stepped outside her comfort zone and hung out with a bunch of church ladies for the weekend. She trusted me to keep the girls alive and put herself out there and, as far as I can tell, was blessed by the whole thing. WOO!
They both started school this week. Celia’s in preschool. Kjirie is in kindergarten.
The other kids are turds. Ours are awesome. They own NONE of their awesomeness to me and all of it to Whitney — the best mom ever.
Couldn’t be prouder of Whitney. Of course — I’ve thought that before and she’s managed to make me even more proud…
Anyhow.
She starts a new school year today. It begins her 8th year teaching…and she’s only 30. Also, she was chosen to be the (co)chair of the science department this year. I’m certain she’ll do excellent work and be a blessing to her department!
Whitney is an adventurer. She loves God’s creation and all that He made. From the grandest of mountains to the wee-est of caterpillars. I admire and envy her ability to wonder and marvel.
I care about the World Cup 0%. But Whitney — a talented and experienced footballer — is super into it. And I love seeing her get excited and enthusiastic over it 🙂.
